Our vision is to ensure that every child with a mobility impairment in the UK is given the opportunity to fulfil their potential and lead an active childhood. And we won’t stop until we’ve achieved it.
There are a lot of charities asking for your support, but there are things about Whizz-Kidz that make us different. We’re upbeat and dynamic in our approach; we’re inclusive; what we do is liberating, and our goals are achievable.

Our strategy is focused on increasing our impact on more young lives. We are determined to diversify our income to ensure continued growth and development for the longer term.

We are looking to develop our service so that we can offer more sustained support for a young person through their childhood ‘life journey’. In the future our integrated service package will fully incorporate mobility equipment, wheelchair training, advice and advocacy and life skills for young people. With new resources for example, we aim to offer our wheelchair training to every child who receives equipment from us.
We stepped up our influencing activities in 2007 and will continue this to ensure child mobility is high on the Government’s agenda across 2008.
We have been exploring how best we can work with the statutory services and in March last year we launched a pilot initiative, which delivers a new model of service delivery in partnership with Tower Hamlets NHS Primary Care Trust. This integrated service meets the individual needs of local children, through pooled budgets, joint assessments and shared expertise.
