Mobility centres
Whizz-Kidz has two mobility centres - one in Birmingham and the other in Newcastle.
Each mobility centre offers a ‘one stop shop’ for families and professionals to get expert, impartial advice and information on all aspects of child mobility. The centres are child-focused and respond to the needs of local families.
They offer:
- Mobility equipment assessments
- Wheelchair training
- Family open days – where young people can trial equipment
- Impartial advice and information – particularly around child mobility
- Life skills – new opportunities for our young beneficiaries to learn new skills and meet other young people at our local Ambassador Clubs
- Training for paediatric professionals
