Campaigning

Whizz-Kidz campaigns to raise awareness of the issues faced by disabled children and young people and in particular, those with mobility impairments.

Whizz Kidz Ambassadors at Downing Street

The charity is focused on improving wheelchair provision for children, as well as championing the rights of di

sabled children, young people and their familes to ensure they have the same opportunities as their non disabled friends.

We campaign at a local and national level, working closely with young disabled people to target MPs, peers and decision-makers in order to change attitudes, and build support for positive change through legislative and policy reform.

Young people play an active part

Our Kidz Board (a group of teenage beneficiaries) and growing UK network of young Ambassadors play an active role in our campaigning work at both a national and local level, to raise awareness of a range of issues that affect them everyday.

We regularly consult young people and their families to determine what problems need to be addressed, and how we can work towards tackling them.

It is important having an ambassador network because it helps raise the profile of Whizz-Kidz so children can get their wheelchairs quicker
