The Queen Mother Reservoir 5k/10k Race Series

A big THANK YOU for taking part in the Queen Mother Reservoir Race Series 2008 and  an extra special thank you to Purple Patch for organising the events so well.

A further thank you to Members from the Shorinji Kempo Harrow dojo who raised a fantastic £1351.00

 We raised in total a fantastic £2043.00 and look forward to the 2009 events. Come and join the team!

                     

Do just one race , or do all three and use them as a time trial to chart your progress.

You can choose whether you go for the 5km or the 10km race - both start at the same time on the same course.  The 5km takes you once around the fantastic reservoir, the 10km takes you twice around.  Completely flat, grass/track course, with stunning views of Windsor Castle.  Prizes for the individual race winners, plus an overall race series prize. 

Entries on the day for single races only (£7 for 5k/£10 for 10k).

2009 ASICS British 10K

Sunday 5th July 2009

Well done to all the Whizz-Kidz runners who took part in this year's ASICS British 10K London Run.

Each summer this event takes place in the heart of central London. The route takes runners past London's historic and iconic landmarks.

Olympic athletes and celebrities from stage and screen join the field, as well as tens of thousands fun and recreational runners who raise over a million pounds for the hundreds of participating charities and causes.

 

To take part in this event and run for Whizz-Kidz you simply need to register yourself with the event and when your place has been confirmed, email the Whizz-Kidz Events Team.  We will happily send you a Welcome Pack full of training and fundraising information plus one of our snazzy running vests and cap.

BUPA Great Runs Series

BUPA Great North Run (Half Marathon)

Sunday 5 October 2008, Newcastle

Famous for the biggest half-marathon in the world, the BUPA Great North Run is one of the most popular races in the UK and has an atmosphere all of its own.  Each year the running field contains world-record holders plus thousands of others, including numerous celebrity runners, fun runners and those who choose to raise funds for their chosen good cause. 

Whizz-Kidz has now filled it's places for this event. To register interest in next years race please email the events team

 

Great South Run (10 miles)

Sunday 26 October 2008, Portsmouth

 

Hosted in the historic city of Portsmouth, the Great South Run is a flat road race making it a great starting point for all aspiring runners. 

Whizz-Kidz has a number of guaranteed places available in this event.  

To apply for a guaranteed place please fill out and return our application form. Once we receive it we will give you a call to let you know whether or not your application has been successful.

Minimum sponsorship: £300.

 

BUPA Great Capital Run (10km)

Congratulations to all Whizz-Kidz runners who took part on Sunday 20th July in the BUPA Great Capital Run 2008.

 

The BUPA Great Capital Run is a summertime 10K event which takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Hyde Park. Last year the event attracted over 11,000 runners and this year's event attracted a similar crowd.

Keep an eye out for next years date - we will post up the new date on the website and you will be able to register online.
