what is a whizz-kidz ambassador?

The Ambassador Network is a group of dynamic, young people who are working to make a difference in the UK. The aim of the network is to develop confidence, independence, life skills and employment opportunities, assisting young disabled people in their transition towards adulthood. The only two requirements to become an Ambassador are; to be under the age of 25 and to be enthusiastic and positive about the work Whizz-Kidz does.

Whizz-Kidz Ambassadors are:

Aware of and very involved in achieving Whizz-Kidz' strategic goals, raising funds and campaigning.

Committed to raising awareness about the importance of mobility for children and the impact of Whizz-Kidz work, as well as highlight the key issues faced by young disabled people everyday .

The voice of young people for the charity who work to make a difference to the lives of other young disabled people.

Why should I become a Whizz-Kidz Ambassador?

Being an Ambassador will be fun, challenging and rewarding.

The Network is flexible so you can fit being a Whizz-Kidz Ambassador in with your other activities. It may even help with some of them!

There will be training workshops, regional meetings and an annual meeting for all Ambassadors so you can meet other like-minded young people .

You will get exclusive access to ‘The Zone’ where you can chat to other Ambassadors, set up your own blogs and find out what events and opportunities are coming up in your area.

We are working hard to get some fun freebies to reward you for the work you’ll do – concert tickets, signed CDs etc. If you have an idea for something cool, why not let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

You will be making a difference to the lives of other young disabled people. You will be their voice and help to empower them with greater independence.

How long?

You can be an Ambassador until you turn 25. The Network is flexible, so you can be as involved as you would like to be. This means that when you get really busy with other commitments, such as exams, you just have to let us know and you can cut your commitments down.
